Location Tysons, VAJob Type Contractor### Description The transcription industry is changing as AI-assisted platforms become part of the standard production workflow. As the workflow evolves, so do the responsibilities of the people who manage it. At Intellectix, AI-Assisted Transcription Editors combine the judgment of a transcriptionist, the precision of a proofreader, and the quality standards of a scopist to finalize AI-generated first drafts into accurate, properly formatted, client-ready transcripts using our browser-based platform.

This role sits between traditional transcription, scoping, proofreading, and quality control. You will not create a transcript from scratch, but will review the AI-generated draft against the source audio or video, correct errors, apply client-specific formatting requirements, and ensure the final transcript meets Intellectix quality standards.

AI-Assisted Transcription Editors use our browser-based platform to receive assignments, manage delivery schedules, monitor requests near their delivery window, review first-pass AI transcription drafts, edit for accuracy, apply client-required templates, perform quality checks, and certify completed transcripts for delivery.

* Are curious about new technology, tools, and AI-assisted workflows
* Feel at home working in browser-based platforms
* Are comfortable editing and reviewing work produced by AI.
* Are comfortable working in browser-based platforms rather than relying only on traditional word-processing workflows.
* Have strong attention to detail and care deeply about transcript accuracy
* Can manage deadlines and prioritize work independently
* Are comfortable working in a secure, cloud-based environment without storing client files locally
* Understand transcription mechanics, including formatting standards, speaker labeling, timestamps, punctuation, and client style rules.
* Can follow detailed instructions and apply client- specific requirements consistently.

Ideal Background
* Prior training and/or experience in transcription, legal transcription, scoping, proofreading, transcript editing, or quality control is strongly preferred.
* Candidates should be comfortable learning new platforms and using AI-assisted drafts while maintaining a high standard of human review.
* Experience in Linguistics, English, Foreign Languages, Archiving, Professional Writing and Editing a plus.
