We are an innovative data, software, and services company with our home office in Chorley, UK, serving energy companies ranging from new market entrants to large, established organizations. We deliver sophisticated software solutions and managed services within a Private Cloud infrastructure, supporting both traditional and modern real-time, smart energy clients.
This role is hybrid office and work from home, based in Lakewood, CO, USA. While our headquarters are located in Chorley, we support a distributed workforce and have fully remote team members based in Colorado and other locations. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in the UK and internationally using modern collaboration tools and remote‑first working practices.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESThe main duties (but not limited to) are the following:
Data Products Team Participation- Serve as a member of the Data Products Team, collaborating closely with:
- Product Manager
- Geodata Analyst
- Fellow GIS Technicians
- Support ongoing maintenance, enhancement, and QA/QC for Whitestar core products, including:
- ParcelSD, ParcelsHD, ParcelsHD+
- CultureHD
- WellsHD
- Research additional data sources, as assigned
- Process, deliver, and provide technical support for:
- Subscription‑based products
- ParcelSD, ParcelsHD, ParcelsHD+
- CultureHD
- WellsHD
- TrueGRID
- One‑off customer orders for the same product line
- Monitor and respond to Live Chat communications
- Redirect sales‑related inquiries to appropriate internal team members
- Support customer technical inquiries related to data content, formats, and software usage
- Communicate professionally with customers via email, Live Chat, phone, and face‑to‑face interactions
- Proficiency with, or ability to quickly learn Windows Operating System
- Esri ArcGIS Pro
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Working familiarity with SQL language
- Ability to provide training and troubleshooting to current and prospective customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple channels
- Ability to train and educate future technical staff
- Demonstrated professionalism and customer‑focused mindset
- Whitestar and ESG documentation, standards, and operating procedures.
- Geospatial data quality assurance (QA) processes and review techniques.
- Scripting concepts used to support and refine GIS data pipelines (as exposure and training are provided).
- Ongoing GIS best practices through webinars, internal training, and professional development resources.
- Running and validating prepared FME Workbench files (FMWs) within established data workflows.
- Skills and competencies required to progress toward GIS Technician II, including increased independence and task complexity.
- College degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–2 years of professional GIS or geospatial experience

- Bachelors degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
