Summary
Position temporary through August 2026 at Toastmasters International. The role is an entry‑level IT Cyber Security & Dev Ops internship, working closely with security, web development and cloud infrastructure teams in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities- Provide support with the configuration, monitoring and administration of endpoint protection, threat detection and response.
- Assist in configuring and maintaining Okta for identity and access management (IAM), including multi‑factor authentication (MFA) and user provisioning/de‑provisioning.
- Support the deployment and monitoring of Barracuda security solutions, concentrating on email protection, firewall management and secure access control.
- Monitor alerts and reports generated by security tools to identify potential threats or vulnerabilities.
- Develop play books for undocumented security incidents.
- Assist the web development team and Dev Ops with release planning – using MS Dev Ops for PBIs, reporting, testing development work and troubleshooting bugs.
- Build AI agents and collaborate with IT & Business teams to deploy them.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles (e.g., encryption, firewalls, network security).
- Familiarity with cloud technologies; MS Azure is a plus.
- Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git, Git Hub, Bitbucket).
- Scripting experience in Power Shell, Python or Bash is desirable.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as Microsoft Defender, Okta and Barracuda.
- Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) concepts, including user authentication and MFA.
- Strong AI understanding beyond generative AI and familiarity with MS CRequirements.
- Current candidates pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field.
- Three days per week in the office (Denver Tech Center); work‑from‑home Monday/Friday.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, security protocols and the development lifecycle.
- Team‑oriented work experience.
- Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Keen interest in cybersecurity and Dev Ops.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple work items simultaneously.
- Embraces and has used new technologies such as AI.
Hybrid role with 3 days on‑site at the Denver Tech Center and remote work on remaining days. Salary range: $22–$25 USD.
