Job Description Summary
Implements and maintains an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Customizes and configures workflow to allow the integration of systems. Tests ERP functions to ensure the system meets customers’ business and functional requirements. Manages ERP projects as a local project lead. Requires fluency in both English and Japanese to work mainly with Japanese clients in the US.
Job Responsibilities and Duties Essential Functions- Identify ERP business systems solutions requirements by consulting with clients; analyzing work processes and operations; establishing solution objectives; preparing specifications.
- Implement and support ERP (Dynamics 365 Business Central, Finance and Operations, AX, NAV, or GP) for new and existing customers, including design, product configuration, testing, data conversion, user acceptance testing, and go‑live support.
- Gather information for the development of custom applications to complement or integrate with existing software.
- Follow Calsoft Project Charter and implementation methodology, produce the required deliverables, and ensure project documentation is complete.
- Drive additional ERP consulting services within the customer base.
- Manage ERP projects and project members or vendors as a project lead.
- Participate in presales activities such as product presentations and proposal preparation.
- Communicate with key client members in fluent English and Japanese.
- Use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish project goals.
- Exercise a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
- Work under general supervision; report to a project lead or department manager.
- Learn new applications and participate in other duties as needed.
- Participate in mandatory training.
- Frequent travel to client sites mainly in Texas and other US states, with occasional overnight or extended stays depending on project requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve team goals.
- Train and mentor junior and internship staff if any.
- Contribute to the improvement of services, revenue/profitability, methodologies, and procedures.
- Understand and incorporate Calsoft values, mission, guidelines, and policies into daily work.
- Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients, co‑workers, and business associates.
Skills and Abilities
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in the field or any related ERP software.
- Knowledge of commonly‑used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
- Maintain a professional image in attitude, conduct, and attire.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Demonstrate aptitude for learning new technologies.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to a non‑technical audience.
- Interface well with other members of the organization.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Business‑level English in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Native or high‑business‑level Japanese in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, distribution, or service industry processes.
- Ability to develop, propose, and implement innovative solutions as appropriate.
- Contribute to and influence decisions regarding division procedures.
- Assist management in organizational planning.
- Meet minimum productivity requirements (KPI or other benchmarks).
- Travel to other regions as required by projects participated in.
- Primarily work from home but may need to work at the Calsoft Dallas office if required.
