Principal Data Product Coach

PG&E has embarked on an exciting, multi-year journey to manage its universe of critical data, data that supports decision-making for the company's most important business processes and risks. This lofty goal involves inventorying the company's data, understanding the data including its ownership, metadata, and critical data elements, and systematically increasing the quality of the data through process remediation and data cleansing.

Focused data management will enable the company to make excellent decisions powered by trusted data. The Data Product Coach partners with one or more functional areas and helps the area's leadership build its data mindset, set a vision, build a roadmap, and execute on data management initiatives. Part subject matter expert, part advisor, part change agent, and part advocate, the Data Product Coach leads the functional area to meet its data management goals and deliver on business outcomes with quality.

The role is hybrid working from your remote office and in-person based on business needs in either Oakland or San Ramon.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $140,000

Bay Area Maximum: $238,000
