About the Role
We are seeking a Configuration and Release Engineer to support enterprise healthcare applications by building, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting configuration changes and enhancements. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure dependable releases, effective issue resolution, and continuous improvement aligned with healthcare data exchange needs.
This is a hybrid remote position based in Albany, NY 12205.
Compensation and Benefits- Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

- Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- One to three years of experience in configuration, release management, or software support.
- Familiarity with SQL, GIT or other version control systems, and XML.
- Experience with object-oriented programming concepts to help with troubleshooting and understanding application behavior.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications and integrations.
- Prior healthcare IT experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of, or exposure to, IBM Initiate and IBM Data Power.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to follow detailed technical instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical partners.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- High level of discretion and the ability to protect confidential company and client information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods, lift up to 5 lbs., and use standard office equipment.
- Good visual acuity to read documents and computer screens.
- Configure and deploy application updates across development, test, and production environments.
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and up-to-date technical records for configuration and release work.
- Investigate and resolve configuration, integration, and deployment issues promptly.
- Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to complete builds and address problems.
- Support version control practices, release coordination, and deployment workflows.
- Participate in testing, validation, and post-release checks to confirm successful implementation.
- Follow internal SDLC standards and configuration management procedures.
- Take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.
