Duties & Responsibilities
Solutions Engineer II is a mid-level role responsible for delivering moderately complex ERP solutions. This individual works with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into system enhancements, troubleshoot issues and drive integration initiatives. The role blends hands‑on development with business process understanding to support scalable BST
11 ERP growth.
- Develop custom ERP modules and integrations
- Create and refine reports, scripts, and automated workflows
- Assist with integration and data migration activities
- Analyze and resolve ERP issues affecting users and operations
- Test and validate system changes
- Ensure data integrity across ERP‑related systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define detailed requirements
- Lead small discovery sessions to gather process and system inputs
- Provide technical assistance during ERP upgrades and rollouts
- Assist in estimating development tasks and timelines
- Identify dependencies and propose solutions to reduce risk
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and change logs
- Follow data governance and security policies
- Research tools and features that improve system performance
- Recommend enhancements to ERP functionality based on user feedback
- Solid understanding of ERP platforms (e.g., BST
11, Deltek, Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics 365) - Proficient in SQL, C#, REST/SOAP APIs, SSRS, and other programming languages
- Experience with API design/consumption
- Strong troubleshooting, analysis and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Effective communicator with technical and business stakeholders
- Offer peer support and share technical knowledge with junior staff
- Contribute to onboarding documentation and knowledge base
- Represent the Development team in cross‑department meetings
- Perform additional related duties as directed
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering or a related field.
