Software Engineer - Q/A Tester
Looking for a true SDET must be local to DC area - selenium - theoretical knowledge of network and cloud infrastructure - database queries - linux commands - java - troubleshooting skills. Verisign is currently in a remote work posture until July 5, 2022. The Quality Assurance Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all software is developed and delivered with the highest standards of quality and best practices.
This individual will possess a strong business analytical background and great automation testing skills.
- Lead test automation efforts, develop/enhance test automation strategies
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, solutions and automated test scripts
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to create test plans and test scripts
- Lead design and automation-testing code reviews
- Analyze test logs; create test reports, coordinate with team members
- Collaborate with development and multi-functional teams to solve and perform root cause analysis
- Add business value to Agile teams through proactive participation in all phases of Agile development
- Work closely with business collaborators and other team members to establish and contribute to release planning, test planning, retrospectives and demos with the team
- Increase product knowledge and vertical experience continuously
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of manual and test automation experience in testing UI and backend systems for sophisticated enterprise level applications (Selenium required, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform experience a plus)
- Proven experience working with Java, Oracle Database, SQL, Linux required
- Experience in TDD, BDD, front end, UI, web services/API, integration, smoke and regression testing
- Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to business owners and technical team members
- Experience working in an Agile environment practicing SCRUM, CI/CD a plus
- Experience in SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle)
