Director, Digital Information Transformation Primary Purpose
The Director of Digital Information Transformation is a senior technology leader and strategic partner to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), responsible for driving UHA's enterprise technology strategy and digital transformation initiatives. This role provides leadership across all IT functions, ensuring secure, reliable, and innovative technology solutions that support business goals, regulatory requirements, and long-term growth.
Acting as the CIO's second-in-command, this position helps shape UHA's technology vision, operating model, and multi-year roadmap while promoting operational excellence, innovation, and exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the CIO to execute UHA's technology strategy and digital roadmap
- Lead enterprise IT functions including applications, infrastructure, data & AI, and security
- Drive digital transformation initiatives aligned with business priorities
- Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable technology services and infrastructure
- Oversee IT budgeting, vendor management, governance, and risk management
- Build and lead a high-performing, innovative IT organization
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of progressive technology or digital leadership experience, including:
- Leading multiple enterprise technology teams
- Developing and executing technology strategy
- Delivering large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
- Proven success operating at senior leadership or executive levels
- Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, infrastructure, data management, cybersecurity, governance, and IT service management
- Excellent leadership, strategic planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in healthcare, health insurance, or other highly regulated industries
- Experience leading enterprise digital transformation, AI, or data-driven initiatives
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks, including HIPAA
- Strong financial, portfolio, and vendor management experience
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- May require travel to meetings, training, or conferences on O?ahu or the mainland
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required
- May be eligible for remote work with manager approval
