Position: Departmental Analyst (Trainee) 9-P11

Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting the programs, initiatives and services of the System Security, Risk and Compliance Section within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer. The primary responsibilities of this position include performing research and data analysis, compiling and reconciling program metrics, and providing recommendations to SRC management and OCTO executive leadership on process improvements which enhance program service delivery.

The SRC Business Analyst will compile, analyze, and reconcile security, risk and compliance metrics related to enterprise IT infrastructure in coordination with, and support of, SRC service areas, customers, stakeholders and partners. This position will be responsible for maintaining, implementing, and/or evaluating service area training, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure program quality, productivity, and adherence to service level agreements and department policy.

This position will also be responsible for participating in special projects, delivering presentations, attending meetings, and working with peers and management to resolve issues and mitigate risk. This position will contribute to continuous improvement of SRC services by participating in work groups, tracking and aligning metrics, and assisting in the development and implementation of the SRC section's strategic goals.

Position Location/Remote Office:
The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.
