To strengthen our Product & Regulatory Compliance team, we are looking for a (Senior) International Standards Manager (all genders) (Product Compliance) to own and evolve our Standardization Strategy and enable our product to the state of the art across our EU and US markets

Your Role at MOIA

As (Senior) International Standards Manager, you are responsible for defining and implementing our standardization strategy and ensuring standards compliance throughout the product lifecycle. Our product is the autonomous  and all the necessary systems in our ecosystem to operate it with passengers on public roads.

Based on EU and US standards for automated driving and our current work on and with standards you create a strategy for engagement with SDOs. As standards play a part in our product compliance management system, you will govern the processes to implement our product according to relevant standards.

What You Will Do
  • Set a standardization strategy:
Develop a thoughtful and coordinated company-wide strategy for MOIA's engagement with SDOs (including ISO, IEEE, ETSI, and SAE). This strategy should define clear goals, levels of engagement, and governance processes for content accountability.
  • Act as an internal/external medium:
Serve as the primary liaison between MOIA's internal practices and external SDOs. Actively work to consolidate internal consensus and assess how MOIA's practices align with or differ from external ones.
  • Run internal training. Develop and implement internal training programs that align engineering, product, and cross-functional teams with external standardization landscapes, compliance goals, and MOIA's internal policies.
  • Shape the industry by strategically prioritizing MOIA's participation in working groups to contribute to shaping consensus and advancing autonomous mobility while retaining the necessary optionality.
  • Cross-functional coordination:
Collaborate closely with the engineering and safety teams, as well as the legal and regulatory groups, to establish appropriate platforms for critiquing perspectives and consolidating a consistent position on topics of interest.
What Will Help You to Fulfill Your Role
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience actively engaging with and participating in Standards Development Organizations (e.g., ISO, IEEE, SAE, CEN/CENELEC, ETSI), including ISO TC 204, ISO TC 22 SC 32/33/36/39; SAE ORAD; ETSI TC ITS, CEN/TC 278
  • Proven track record of developing and setting corporate strategy for standardization engagement within a highly technical or safety-critical domain.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, translate complex external requirements into actionable internal policies, and serve as a medium between technical teams and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to represent the company publicly, navigate ambiguity, and maintain poise in committee settings.
  • Business fluent English and German skills.

What We Offer

  • A senior expert role with high strategic impact on MOIA's implementation of state of the art
  • Direct ownership of our standardization strategy and governance for EU and US markets
  • Work at the intersection of technology, standardization, and real-world deployment
