POS QA Engineer

Conduct testing of POS systems in retail or other high-volume transaction environments.

Perform Manual, Functional, Integration, System, Regression, End-to-End, and Data-driven testing for POS applications.

Design, document, and execute Test Plans, Test Strategies, and Test Cases, while maintaining testing metrics and traceability.

Work in Agile environments, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Utilize defect tracking tools (JIRA, qTest) for issue management and resolution.

Report on test execution results and facilitate bug triage meetings to drive timely resolutions.

Provide support during production deployments through critical smoke and sanity testing.

Partner with development and delivery teams to improve testability, investigate issues, and resolve defects efficiently.

Perform testing in the POS Lab environment, requiring 5 days a week in person at the Phoenix home office.

Demonstrate strong ownership by meeting deadlines with accuracy, professionalism, and accountability.

Communicate effectively through clear written and verbal communication.

Apply analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues and ensure application reliability.

Contribute as a collaborative team player, addressing conflicts constructively and working around obstacles to ensure project success.

Nice to Have

Exposure to UIPath RPA automation or any RPA automation tool

Knowledge of testing techniques (white box, black box, performance testing).

Familiarity with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as JMeter, Jenkins.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

3–5 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of POS applications, preferably in the retail domain.

Strong understanding of software testing practices and Agile development methodologies.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating a strong work ethic.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills with a positive, enthusiastic approach.

Willingness and ability to work 5 days per week onsite at the home office for POS lab testing.
