Oracle Specialist/ Consultant
Role Description
JRI-America, a division of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp, is seeking an Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) functional specialist to support key initiatives on the Oracle platform arising from rapid growth in SMBC legal entities and ledgers. The role involves interpreting financial business needs, translating them into application and operational requirements, and using functional and technical expertise to deliver application design, module configuration/setup, user acceptance testing, end‑user training, and ongoing support.
Project management across the full SDLC is a plus. The scope supports financial business users in North America and EMEA.
- Provide functional support for Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM modules (Financial Consolidation & Close, Account Reconciliation, EDM, Reporting) across North America and EMEA.
- Analyze, design, configure and test enhancements to support business processes.
- Participate in Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM projects involving configuration, implementation, testing and user training.
- Liaise across IT domains (infrastructure engineering, database, security, operations support) to deliver Oracle EPM functionality.
- Provide day‑to‑day support of the Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM environment, including applying periodic patches, reporting requirements, and ad‑hoc business requests.
- Continuously review opportunities for improvement in how the Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM platform is leveraged, bringing best practices to the forefront.
- Produce detailed system requirement specifications, data flow diagrams, test plans, swim‑lane and process diagrams using standardized documentation methods.
- Ensure proposed solutions comply with the company’s technology direction and change/safety policies.
- Collaborate with internal and external Oracle development teams to validate user interfaces and functional/non‑functional requirements.
- Provide general technical support for the Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM system and conduct user training.
- Perform late‑night production support and weekend implementation work as required.

- Hands‑on technical understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM concepts and general module functionality.
- Strong finance and accounting knowledge.
- Ability to clearly describe end‑to‑end business processes and integration points, and work cross‑functionally across different business processes.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Project Management skills using MS Project (a plus).
- Minimum 5 years of Oracle Cloud EPM implementation experience across modules such as Financial Consolidation & Close, Account Reconciliation, EDM, Reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to drive consensus, absorb, and present complex ideas succinctly and accurately.
- Team‑oriented approach.
- Minimum 3+ years of TOAD/SQL experience.
- Strong English communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Willingness to work in an energetic, fast‑paced, team‑oriented development environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Functional level support and leadership in identifying and implementing new Financial modules.
- University degree preferably in computer science/software engineering or finance/accounting.
- Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM certification a plus.
