About SAIC
SAIC supports the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) by delivering website management and technical support services. As a Junior Web Developer, you’ll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining website functionality, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations, and supporting web‑related projects. This position offers full remote work flexibility.
Responsibilities- Frontend Website Development and Maintenance:
- Design and refine site concepts within Word Press.
- Enhance website functionality through HTML, CSS, and JavaScript updates.
- Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, including Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
- Coordinate file uploads to OUSD(R&E) and IR&D Innovation Marketplace websites.
- Perform content updates using Word Press.
- Backend Website Development and Maintenance:
- Support Word Press CMS development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with development teams through Git Hub for deployment stages.
- Technical Support:
- Assist in migrating websites to cloud and other hosting environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues for optimal performance and security.
- Provide technical support for website‑related requests from R&E Front Office and departments.
- Site Maintenance and Support:
- Archive outdated webpages and integrate new sites or redesigns.
- Manage video uploads and content on DVIDS.
- Update and oversee public, high‑level social media accounts.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years or Master’s degree with 0 years in website design and development.
- Proficiency in Word Press for website management.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Intermediate experience with Git Hub.
- Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance.
- US Citizenship required.
- Proficiency in Word Press, HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript.
- Understanding of DoD regulations and Section 508 compliance.
- Excellent troubleshooting and technical support capabilities.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
- Preferred experience in programming, web design, and database management for government/DoD organizations.
