As a Service Now SPM Technical Architect, you will make an impact by leading the design, development, and delivery of Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) solutions on the Service Now platform. You will be a valued member of our delivery team and collaborate closely with stakeholders, architects, and development teams to deliver scalable, high‑quality solutions that align with business objectives and industry best practices.

• Lead requirements workshops and design discussions, providing expert guidance on Service Now and SPM best practices.
• Translate business requirements and user stories into scalable, end‑to‑end technical solutions.
• Design and develop complex Service Now SPM solutions, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
• Create and maintain architecture, integration, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid‑level developers.
• Define solution frameworks, integration strategies, and governance models aligned to enterprise standards.
• Act as the final escalation point for technical decisions and solution design within projects.
• Support solution scoping, effort estimation, and continuous improvement of delivery processes and best practices.

The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting and may change based on business or client needs.

• 7+ years of experience working on the Service Now platform.
• 5+ years of experience in the SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) domain.
• 4+ years of experience designing and architecting Service Now solutions.
• Proven track record of delivering multiple Service Now implementations (20+ preferred).
• Strong experience in scripting, application development, APIs, web services, and integrations.
• Expertise in translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Service Now certifications including Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Application Developer (SPM CIS preferred).

• Service Now Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or advanced certifications.
• Experience across additional Service Now modules beyond SPM.
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks, organizational change management, and enterprise architecture principles.
• Experience mentoring teams and leading large‑scale Service Now implementations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in consulting environments.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $119,000 - $139,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
