As Allstate accelerates its adoption of AI, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and advanced machine learning, the need for robust, embedded governance has never been greater. The AI Governance Lead Consultant will play a pivotal role in shaping how AI is responsibly developed and deployed across the enterprise. This is a hands‑on role that requires a deep understanding of governance, risk and compliance theory and concepts, and a practical, scalable approach to governance controls.
Responsibilities- Develop a comprehensive AI risk catalog articulating how Allstate perceives AI risk.
- Contribute to an AI control inventory encompassing development and deployment controls.
- Develop and maintain an AI asset inventory to capture enterprise AI exposure, including third‑party AI.
- Operationalize governance by running processes to address high‑priority areas.
- Create and update AI standards and requirements to guide safe, responsible AI development and procurement.
- Coordinate with other risk functions (Data, Model, Third Party, Security, etc.) to ensure alignment of AI governance with broader risk and return programs.
- 5+ years of experience in governance, risk, or compliance roles, preferably in setting up and operationalizing governance or oversight programs.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk and compliance concepts, including risk, controls and inventories.
- Experience building or improving governance or oversight programs.
- Ability to translate technical risk into business impact and communicate with technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Strong critical thinking, adaptability and leadership in fast‑evolving environments.
- Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments and driving consensus.
- Passion for learning and staying ahead of AI trends, tooling and regulatory developments.
Compensation offered for this role is $98,100.00 – $ annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
