What You Will Be Doing:

The Senior Health Equity Analyst / Data Intelligence Analyst works with end‑user requests to detail moderately to sophisticated business requirements, data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements in support of enterprise data intelligence projects. The analyst creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business/clinical needs and data elements required or available, and produces data sets, reports, ad‑hoc requests, dashboards, and other deliverables.

They conduct data analysis in support of a variety of analytic solutions and write moderately sophisticated SQL code and queries.

  • Writes SQL code and queries; analyzes complex problems using internal and external data.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of report analysis and development; triages intake of data requests to understand business needs.
  • Applies knowledge of healthcare and critical thinking to analyze business requests and recommend solutions.
  • Provides sophisticated report and data analysis with team members, vendors, and other EIS contacts; reports quantitative and qualitative data insights to decision‑makers.
  • Participates in re‑engineering operational workflow processes with end‑users and business owners as needed.
  • Understands build concepts, Epic migration paths, change control governance, and ticket management.
  • Leads and evaluates process and requirements analysis, including process mapping, future needs/plans, requirement elicitation, stakeholder analysis, and specification gathering on complex projects.
  • Serves as primary vendor contact for larger projects and complex issues, handling vendor relationships.
  • Provides guidance and leadership on quality assurance and testing initiatives; leads teams through integrated testing processes and manages testing projects.
  • Contributes to strategy discussions by proactively identifying options with pros and cons with EIS team members and others.

Approved Remote States: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, Texas

Qualifications Experience Requirements

Five (5) or more years of experience with SQL and demonstration of ability with a range of query tools such as Python, R, Oracle, SAS, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Microsoft SQL, Tableau, etc.

Experience developing Epic Inpatient Clarity reports.

Hands‑on experience performing reporting analysis and developing custom reports.

Familiarity with databases used in patient care, administrative applications for hospitals, and data warehousing technology.

Experience analyzing basic to moderately sophisticated Clarity, Reporting Workbench, and Radar build requests.

Demonstrated understanding of healthcare applications and the needs and priorities of patient care providers.

Technical proficiency in Reporting Workbench and Radar build; ability to teach sophisticated concepts.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.

Epic Clarity Certification preferred (Epic Inpatient preferred). SQL Server certification preferred.
