Here on the Apple Store Online team, we are responsible for Apple's largest store. Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. Each customer should feel like they are our only customer and our job is to set the bar for the experience they receive.
To run such an extraordinary store, it takes extraordinary people, and we are looking for someone to help us do extraordinary things. We're seeking a Quality Engineering Leader for our Central Quality Automation Team to drive the next generation of automation for Apple Store Online content validations. This role demands a leader with deep hands-on expertise with automation and AI, and a proven track record in architecting and delivering robust, scalable test automation frameworks.
You will define the strategic vision and automation roadmap, build and maintain cutting-edge QA automation, and empower content validations at scale using Agentic AI and other modern techniques.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading a QA Automation team owning the strategy, roadmap, and implementation of test automation. You will lead the team as they create the base frameworks that are used for content test automation for ASO Ops. You will support test automation efforts with a strong experience managing distributed technical teams and a solid understanding of AI applications in testing are essential.
You will help stand up a test automation team focused on content testing and help drive design, delivery and maintenance of these solutions with scale in mind while driving adoption through cross-functional partnerships
- Build a test automation team from grounds up, and define test automation roadmap
- Collaborate with teams across ASO to define, develop, and implement content validation automation and tooling
- Mentor and grow a strong test tech team and be the thought leader on technology solutions
- Act as a force multiplier by driving technical excellence across teams, and building scalable systems, tools, and/or frameworks
- 10+ years of experience in QA and Test Automation, with a significant focus on building and scaling test automation frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent extensive practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring highly technical teams, specifically those focused on QA automation.
- Proven experience in designing and architecting complex, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks (e.g., UI, API, mobile, backend)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in testing (e.g., AI-powered test generation, anomaly detection, predictive analytics for quality)
- Experience with emerging technologies such as Agentic AI relevant to QA automation (web and mobile content testing)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, AWS) and integrating automated tests into these workflows.
- Proven ability to address technical challenges, working across teams to build and manage relationships, navigate delivery dependencies, and ensure project success.
