Overview
Caris Life Sciences seeks a Precision Oncology Program Manager (POP) to implement high-visibility, transformative projects for accounts with national and strategic impact. The POP provides strategic insights to clients related to operations and technical enhancements for precision oncology, deploys point-of-care solutions and data management strategies, and manages projects through onboarding, utilization monitoring, and closure. The role works with regional teams and cross-functional groups, prioritizing tasks based on regional needs defined by SAMs, AVPs, and the VP Strategic Collaborations.
The POP collaborates with PMI, the salesforce, and others across simultaneous projects in a matrixed environment. The ideal candidate understands operations at cancer centers, can propose thoughtful solutions, and has a baseline understanding of biomarkers and precision medicine, with proficiency in molecular data utilization. Additional desirable experience includes work with Electronic Health Records, clinical or translational research, and project management.
Position SummaryThe Precision Oncology Program Manager (POP) is responsible for implementing high-visibility, transformative projects for accounts with national and strategic impact. The POP provides strategic insights to clients related to operations and technical enhancements for precision oncology. The POP deploys point-of-care solutions, data management strategies, and other projects that optimize or customize an account’s precision oncology program. The POP must be detail oriented and able to drive projects to completion, including onboarding plans, utilization monitoring, and project closure.
This role will coordinate with the SAM covering each region and will be prioritized by regional needs as defined by the SAMs, AVPs, and the VP Strategic Collaborations. The POP team will coordinate with other PMI members, the salesforce, and others on simultaneous projects, and must work with cross-functional teams and communicate thoroughly. The ideal candidate must understand operations at cancer centers, provide thoughtful solutions, manage projects, work collaboratively in a matrixed environment, have a baseline understanding of biomarkers and precision medicine, and have proficiency with molecular data utilization.
Additional desirable experience includes working on or with an Electronic Health Record, clinical or translational research experience, and project management.
- EHR Integration Management and Point of Care solutions:
Lead projects to complete EHR integrations with priority accounts. Build solutions that fit precision oncology workflows within compliant ordering requirements. Oversee onboarding and ongoing monitoring after technical integration completion. Handle protected health information (PHI) appropriately to implement and test clinical-facing solutions. - Delivering Data Feeds:
Guide the return of molecular data to the client after terms of delivery are negotiated in accordance with Caris policies. This may include evaluating data use cases, visualization platforms, and storage capacity to maximize data value for the account. Data may include PHI. - Molecular Oncology Operations:
Guide operational projects that improve the quality of precision oncology care, including Molecular Tumor Board operations and co-branding initiatives. - Stakeholder engagement:
Develop external relationships with client stakeholders who lead technology, data, and operational projects. Discuss precision oncology within these contexts and provide high-level customer service to stakeholders. - Application integration and partnerships:
Facilitate discussions with third-party applications used by clients to optimize experiences with molecular results. Create and disseminate justification material for collaborations, plan integrations, and coordinate with internal resources.
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of relevant precision medicine or healthcare project management experience.
- Strong experience delivering presentations and coordinating with high-level health system leadership.
