Entry-Level Data Entry Specialist (Open to Recent Grduates) - Contract

Location:

Remote (Preference for Danbury, CT area)

Pay: $28-$34/hour

Duration: 3-4 month contract (high likelihood to extend or convert)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Entry-Level Data Entry Specialist to support a key data cleanup and optimization project within our HR Learning & Development team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience working with data, Excel, and HR systems.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organized, task-based work and wants to build foundational skills in data analysis and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

+ Enter, update, and maintain large volumes of data with a high level of accuracy

+ Create and manage Excel trackers to monitor training assignments and completion data

+ Review and clean data to ensure consistency and accuracy across systems

+ Assist with basic data analysis using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)

+ Support the HR Learning Manager with administrative and data-related tasks

+ Maintain and update records within Learning Management Systems (LMS) and HR systems

+ Generate simple reports and organize data for team use

+ Help ensure data integrity through regular audits and quality checks

Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing) in Business, HR, Data Analytics, or a related field

+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data tracking, spreadsheets)

+ High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

+ Ability to work independently and manage repetitive, data-heavy tasks

+ Interest in data, business operations, or HR

Preferred (Nice to Have)

+ Internship, academic, or project experience involving data entry or Excel

+ Exposure to Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone, Workday, Success Factors, etc.)

+ Familiarity with HR processes or systems

+ Strong communication and reliability in a remote work environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
