Senior Service Now Developer/Architect
Our client is open to all rates and locations in the United States. They are looking for the best, most experienced developer architects. Contractor will need code and not just be strategic resources.
Remote, hybrid or onsite candidates will all be considered. Remote contractors will need to have their own computer equipment and high speed internet and will VPN into clients system.
Our Client has an immediate need for a Service Now Developer/Architect. This is a 6-month contract to start with a possible interest in hiring as an employee down the road, if they met our clients criteria. We are open to onsite (Southern Maine), hybrid and remote candidates.
We are looking for strong candidates with multiple years of hands-on developer experience with Service Now in ITOM, ITSM. They will need to hit the ground running as we do not have time to bring inexperienced candidates up to speed. We are only interested in senior and very experienced Service Now candidates.
RequirementsDesigns and implements moderate to complex solutions to meet business informational needs and requirements. Provides technical leadership in broad, complex, high visibility and/or high impact projects. Evaluates and analyses business and technical requirements to develop solutions within industry standard business process and best practices. Works across all aspects of the Systems Development Life Cycle for Service Now portfolio, specializing in the ITSM, ITOM, Discovery (CMDB), Asset Management and Software Asset Management modules.
Work items range from small enhancements to major module implementations, break-fix and platform administration.
- In-depth understanding and background in Service Now ITOM (CMDB and Service Now Discovery), ITSM
- Strong working knowledge of the Service Now Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
- Experience developing and maintaining CMDB technical standards
- Experiencing defining, documenting, and implementing CMDB Governance process and procedures
- Strong knowledge of troubleshooting Discovery errors and warnings
- Experience modifying and/or creating Discovery patterns
- Excellent collaboration & communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to audiences of various technical skills
- Experience integrating Service Now CMDB with SCCM utilizing the SCCM Service Graph Connector
- Detail oriented, can lead and coordinate infrastructure type migration plans.
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ITIL Foundations certification a plus
- Java script, Python, Github, Angular JS, Powershell
- Development work ranges from small enhancements to major module implementations, break-fix and platform administration.
- Develop, configure, and customize forms and workflows
- Works with IT and vendors to identify business requirements, scope, feasibility, performance, security, test strategies, and test execution
- Can perform unit, system, integration and user acceptance testing, and document results
- Coordinates integration activities between multiple technical teams
- Conducts end user training, and develops training materials
- Participates in project planning and is responsible for project scope and estimating
- Participates in strategy sessions
- Exerts technical leadership within team and provides technical leadership on complex projects and baseline support
- Creates and maintains system documentation, standard operating procedures and user guides.
- Executes or oversees Service Now administration tasks
- Participates in annual Service Now upgrades & monthly patching
- Ensures adherence to security standards
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Service Now
- Advanced knowledge of Procurement, Asset Management, Software Asset Management, Discovery, Governance Risk and Compliance, and associated Service Now modules
- Strong knowledge of ITOM and the associated Service Now modules
- Strong knowledge of ITSM and the associated Service Now modules
- Service Now Fundamentals training or equivalent experience
- Scripting in Service Now Fundamentals or equivalent experience
- Expert in configuring Service Now modules
- Knowledge of ITIL concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
