Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Principal level SAP FICO Lead Functional Consultant to support a critical SAP finance initiative within a highly regulated DOD/A & D environment. This role will partner with finance and IT teams to deliver configuration, enhancements, specializing in FICO, SCM implementation and support across core financial processes. Implementation also includes PMMO; experience is a "Nice to have".
For this REQ we can only accept US CIT for DoD.
Essential Job Functions- Manage a team responsible for SAP package software application implementation through configuration and development.
- Lead workshops to determine system requirements and document findings.
- Lead projects, allocate resources, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Configure FI, CO, and associated SAP modules.
- Provide functional specifications for technical development.
- Identify and address technical and operational challenges proactively.
- Monitor and report on project progress and financial metrics.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Foster an environment of teamwork and effective communication.
- Establish and maintain long‑term executive relationships by performing billable advisory services.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 3+ years in a similar role.
- Proficiency in one or more software languages and development methodologies.
- Proven experience in team management and software project execution.
- Solid technical knowledge in package applications.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field a plus (e.g., MBA).
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to lead requirements sessions and workshops.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Able to operate independently in fast‑paced environments.
