We are searching for an experienced Cloud & Platform Engineering manager professional to join a team for a greenfield data platform build. In this position you will be leading a team of engineers to create an entirely new environment reporting, AI, and ML data products. This is a hands-on technical first-line manager position requiring both management skills (task breakdowns, JIRA board management, etc) as well as hands-on cloud infrastructure & devops skills.

Core requirements include a solid hands-in understanding of cloud infrastructure, observability & monitoring (ELK/Datadog), CI/CD, containerization, clustering, and automation/scripting. Ideal candidates will also have experience building greenfield tooling. This is a fully remote position within the US.

• 8+ years of experience platform & infrastructure management
• Dev Ops
• Containerization
• Reliability
• Observability
• 2+ years of management/leadership (teams of 4-8)
• Greenfield/new-build experience

• Data platform & analytics experience
• Snowflake/Data Bricks
• Relevant education (Bachelors in Computer Science, Masters in Data Analytics, etc)

Daily responsibilities

• 70% hands on
• 30% architecture
