Job Description: FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Systems Administrator Seniors – Middleware & Automation in Jacksonville, FL to deploy, administer, and support enterprise middleware platforms including IBM Web Sphere Application Server (ND) and IBM Web Sphere MQ in distributed Linux and Windows environments. Design, configure, and maintain middleware clusters, queue managers, messaging channels, JVMs, and application runtime environments to support high availability, performance, and scalability requirements.
Develop and implement automation using Ansible, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines to standardize middleware provisioning, configuration management, application deployments, and environment consistency in alignment with enterprise operational standards across development, test, and production systems. Perform middleware upgrades, fix pack installations, SSL certificate management, and security hardening in compliance with enterprise standards. Monitor middleware platforms for performance, capacity, and availability. Troubleshoot complex application and messaging issues.
Perform root-cause analysis using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools. Support middleware platforms deployed across on‑premises and cloud environments, ensuring secure integration, automation, and operational consistency within hybrid infrastructure. Integrate middleware operations with Service Now (SNOW) workflows for incident, change, and problem management, and collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to support production releases and platform enhancements.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: working with IBM Web Sphere Application Server Management; working with IBM Web Sphere MQ Management, IBM Web Sphere MQ Administration – Setup, configuration, clustering, SSL implementation, and RDQM for high availability;
working with IBM Web Sphere Application Server Management, Including ND setup, clustering, performance tuning, and automation; utilizing Cloud Technologies including AWS (EC2, S3, and IAM), Azure (VMs and Dev Ops), and GCP (Compute Engine and IAM); incorporating Ansible Automation for provisioning, configuration management, and deployment across middleware platforms; utilizing SSL Certificate Management including renewals, cipher suite updates, and secure channel setup across Web Sphere, MQ, JBoss, and Tomcat;
and utilizing Jenkins CI/CD Pipelines – Automated deployments integrated with Ansible and Git for middleware environments. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in the above fields and three (3) years of experience in the above skills.
