Senior Workday Analyst (Senior Employee Experience Systems Analyst)
You will be a member of the centralized, dedicated Workday HRIS Team working out of our Tempe, AZ Home Office. This team works together to ensure effective use of the system by updating, configuring, improving and providing expertise on the system for other Employee Experience departments.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support for HRIS specific Workday modules, researching and resolving system problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Recommend process and customer service improvements, policy changes and major variations to system utilization; serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. Payroll, Talent Acquisition and IT).
- Lead review, testing and implementation of system upgrades or patches; collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix; document process and results.
- Write, maintain, and support a variety of reports or queries using reporting tools; assist in development of standard reports for ongoing user needs; ensure data integrity by running queries and analyzing data.
- Represent the Employee Experience Team in IT integration projects.
- Advises on changes or actions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
- Implement Workday business process configuration changes; validate configuration changes to ensure quality and stability.
- Inform management of recurring issues or training needs.
- Serve as a technical point‑of‑contact for assigned functional areas and assist subject matter experts.
- View and audit incoming employee data from Self Service and Onboarding systems.
- Resolve payroll, timekeeping and tax‑related issues.
- Answer help‑desk tickets.
- Knowledge of Workday is highly desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Marketing, Human Resources or related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with data and analytics platforms including Workday.
- Moderate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience developing and implementing business and system process improvements and setting standards.
- Hybrid work approach with minimum of three days onsite per week.
