Role:

• Work with our internal stakeholders to understand automation, requirements and implement solution using available tool sets and scripting languages.
• On-call administration and tools support.
• Respond to incidents to advise on mitigation or resolution options, then driving detailed root cause analysis efforts to identify strategies to prevent future recurrence.
• Coordinate with technology vendors for advanced support or defect cases.
• Continually assess capacity planning forecasts against current performance requirements and growth forecasts.
• As new technologies emerge and influence our environment, learn these technologies swiftly and apply them for problem solving and providing innovative solutions.
• Support business disaster recovery procedures for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Accurately document duties and procedures to aid the department in cross-training and absentee coverage.
• Work with technical engineering teams to manage and improve processes and a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code practices.

About You:

Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology Management, or related and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or as a Platform Engineer, System Test Engineer, Core Engineering Operations Engineer, System Administrator, Site Reliability Engineer, or related.

Qualifying experience must include at least three (3) years with each of the following:
Linux (RHEL/OEL), VMWare virtualized environments and practices, Experience with implementing and supporting physical server infrastructure for high availability, Experience with implementing and supporting Storage Area Network devices, Mission critical platforms and systems support, Experience with design and implementation of monitoring and alerting utilities and creation of procedures for operation, TCP/IP stack and Local Area Network configurations, Automation and configuration management tools.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
