Part Time - IST​/Cybersecurity - Adjunct Lecturer

Job Description and Position Requirements:

Penn State York invites applications for adjunct (part-time) faculty openings to teach courses in cybersecurity and in information technology.

• Teach upper-division classes in our baccalaureate degrees in Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations (CYAOP) and Information Technology (IT) degrees using traditional, hybrid and online delivery methods.
• Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment is expected.
• Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching is an advantage.
• Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important.

This opening will be filled as an adjunct lecturer (part-time instructor).

• A minimum of a master’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer information systems, computer science, or a closely related field is required.
• Preference will be given to applicants with specific expertise in cybersecurity including experience with cyber defense strategies, risk management, penetration testing, ethical hacking, and privacy.
• Related expertise in database, networking, information security, enterprise systems, data analytics, cloud computing, programming (Python and Java preferred), data science, gaming and app development, or other emerging topics in the information technology field is also desirable.
• The successful applicant will have demonstrated commitment and advocacy for diversity in the workplace.
