Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Reports to: Sr. Director, Business Analytics

Job Summary

The Senior Business Analyst is a key contributor within FC Cincinnati’s Business Analytics Department, responsible for leading high-impact analytics projects and delivering sophisticated insights that help drive strategic business decisions. This role requires both technical excellence and business acumen, with the Business Analyst serving as a subject matter expert who can independently manage complex analytical initiatives from conception through implementation.

The Business Analyst will initially focus on enhancing and maintaining the organization's reporting suite, establishing reporting best practices, and creating comprehensive documentation to support scalable analytics processes. As the role evolves, this individual will take ownership of critical business areas including revenue optimization, fan behavior analysis, and operational analytics, partnering cross-functionally to deliver insights and drive data-informed decision‑making across the organization.

What You’ll Do:
  • Design and implement data visualizations, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions using Tableau and other BI tools
  • Support adoption and training of the reporting environment across the organization
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify business challenges and develop analytical solutions
  • Lead and own process improvement initiatives to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting workflows
  • Lead and own complex analytics projects across multiple business verticals including ticketing, partnerships, and marketing
  • Perform advanced statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and forecasting to assist in driving revenue growth and operational efficiency
  • Build and maintain sophisticated data sets by integrating internal and external sources, ensuring data accuracy and reliability
  • Create actionable fan segmentation models and behavioral analyses to enhance targeting, retention, and lifetime value
  • Evaluate emerging analytical techniques, tools, and methodologies; recommend implementations to enhance capabilities
  • Move beyond anticipating business requirements by proactively delivering insights that drive business outcomes
  • Conduct ad‑hoc deep‑dive analyses on critical business questions
  • Serve as a trusted analytical resource within the department and the organization
  • Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related analytical field;
    Master's degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in business analytics, data visualizations, or related field
  • Proficiency with SQL and statistical programming languages (R and/or Python)
  • Skilled with data visualization software, particularly Tableau or ggplot2
  • Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, or predictive analytics techniques preferred

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and strategic reasoning abilities
  • Experience with A/B testing, experimental design, and causal inference methods
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, CRM platforms, and marketing automation tools
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies, revenue management, and consumer behavior principles
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with commitment to accuracy and data quality
