Sr Developer​/SAP BW​/HANA

Position Summary

Southwest Gas Corporation seeks a Sr. Developer/SAP BW/HANA (Las Vegas, NV) to provide high-level technical support for all aspects of the HANA data models within the SAP BW landscape as it relates to business analytics, reporting requirements and infrastructure development. The role involves full lifecycle management of business and infrastructure change programs for all HANA data models, associated ETL and Data Services, including requirements gathering, technical analysis, software design and development, quality assurance, documentation and deployment within the SAP BW, HANA, and Data Services landscapes.

Work from home is available within a commuting distance. May supervise two individuals.

• Provide high-level technical support for all aspects of HANA data models within the SAP BW landscape.
• Lead the full lifecycle of business and infrastructure change programs for all HANA data models, associated ETL and Data Services.
• Gather requirements and conduct technical analysis.
• Perform backend and frontend software design and development.
• Conduct quality assurance, documentation and successful deployment for all HANA and associated components within the SAP BW, HANA, and Data Services landscapes.
• Engage in performance tuning for end-to-end data load and reporting.
• Support large and complex productive SAP environments, including security, efficient code reuse, and software design.
• Participate in systems testing, IT implementation, project management, utilities, and process mapping.
• Analyze and synthesize business requirements, recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes.
• Travel up to 20% nationally to client sites and other facilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years of experience with SAP BW/BI/HANA.
• Experience with SAP BW and SAP BW4
  
  HANA data warehousing.
• Analytics experience with SAP Analytics Cloud BI, SAP Analytics Cloud Analytics Designer, and SAP Business Objects (Web Intelligence, Design Studio, etc.).
• Proficiency in SAP BW on HANA data modeling & development, including Advanced DSO, HANA composite provider, HANA custom development, calculation views, and modeling with HANA graphical calculation views.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP, SQL, BW transformations, AMDP scripts, table functions, and scalar functions.
• Experience developing extraction methodology from SAP S/4
  
  HANA.
• Familiarity with SAP Business Objects tools, SAP Native HANA, and SAP BW security concepts (user management, roles, privileges).
• Ability to debug configuration issues and optimize runtime performance by identifying bottlenecks and design issues.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
