Position OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Cisco Network Engineer to support and drive enterprise networking initiatives across multiple logistics and distribution facilities throughout the Americas. This is a highly hands-on engineering role responsible for both day-to-day operational support and leading complex infrastructure projects including new site deployments, network refreshes, data center support, and enterprise network modernization.
This position requires flexibility to work onsite when projects require physical presence. Outside of project work, remote work is available. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the Harrisburg, PA metro area.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary networking resource for the regional sites while collaborating closely with a larger global network engineering team and network architects.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, configure, and support enterprise Cisco networking infrastructure.
- Lead network deployments, site launches, refreshes, and infrastructure modernization projects.
- Provide Level 3 support for LAN, WAN, Wireless, Security, VoIP, SD-WAN, and Data Center environments.
- Perform network maintenance, upgrades, patching, and configuration changes following established change management procedures.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, and enterprise networking equipment.
- Support Palo Alto firewall administration and troubleshooting.
- Participate in enterprise network monitoring, root cause analysis, and incident resolution using monitoring tools.
- Work closely with architects to implement enterprise network designs and technical solutions.
- Support network infrastructure across multiple logistics facilities and regional data centers.
- Perform site surveys, hardware procurement support, installation, testing, documentation, and implementation activities.
- Participate in on-call support rotation and weekend maintenance activities when required.
- Present and review infrastructure changes during Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
- Produce and maintain detailed implementation documentation and network diagrams.
- Provide technical recommendations for network improvements, scalability, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams, systems administrators, vendors, and business stakeholders throughout project life cycles.
- 4+ years of enterprise network engineering experience (senior-level expertise strongly preferred).

- Cisco Routing & Switching
- LAN/WAN technologies
- SD-WAN
- VoIP
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls (required).
- Strong scripting experience (required).
- Experience working in enterprise data center environments.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Understanding of automation and cloud networking concepts.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and the OSI Model.
- Experience following Change Management and Change Control processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple technical projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

This role is ideal for a true senior-level Cisco Network Engineer who enjoys balancing project delivery with hands-on operational support. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently as the primary networking engineer for regional sites while collaborating with a larger enterprise networking team. Strong Cisco expertise, Palo Alto firewall experience, scripting skills, and data center networking knowledge are the highest priorities for this position.
