What you’ll be doing…

Drive strategic value and innovation in IT delivery to reduce time to market for new devices and services. Shape IT product offerings to drive business value and best-in-class design and deliver products that maximize value creation for our customers with focused delivery of technical solutions. Build high-performing teams and relationships with peers from development, delivery, and other members of the enterprise.

Manage a software engineering team ensuring delivery of service plans and promotions needed to meet market needs. Mentor, coach, and guide team performance. Manage multiple projects and delivery using Agile methodologies. Lead the formation of IT product offerings to develop creative business solutions, leveraging diverse methodologies and delivering engineering solutions for time to market needs that drive business value and churn base management for current business and migrations.

Design and deliver products that maximize value creation for our customers in cooperation with product/device management. Prioritize and manage all efforts related to products/devices for Faster Promotions delivery. Lead innovation on faster program delivery to meet the competitive market needs. Orchestrate all Tracfone product launches in the prepaid services market with meticulous planning and execution by interacting with multiple internal units such as Engineering, GTS, Marketing, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Call Center Operations, Security etc.

across all brands and multiple carriers on the requirements and delivery timelines. Oversee launch activities to ensure a successful market entry. Act as the point of escalation for risks, issues, and production incidents, ensuring action items are clearly defined, assigned to owners, and driven to resolution in a timely manner. Analyze metrics for defect resolution timelines, number of defects, and incidents to identify problem trends and adjust training/support of technical staff accordingly to meet SLA compliance.

Deliver multiple projects on-time with high quality within estimated budget by leading a cross-functional team utilizing project management best practices. Monitor budgets, forecasting and estimations for different projects and maintain the budget forecast to actual within less than five percent. Guide and manage system integration involving software, network, and database components. Work with project managers and technical teams to understand and solve challenging technical problems in order to define solutions with effort estimates.

Review and approve system solution description documents. Use Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL programming, Java, C/C++, Python, and supporting core services, including Spring Farm, SOA and Microservices, Data Analysis, Java, AWS and Cloud based technologies, and performance tuning, scalability and availability in a Big Data environment.

Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Sr. Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 6 years of experience in the following: developing and implementing software; using Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL programming;

working with Java, C/C++, Python, and supporting core services, such as spring farm, SOA and Microservices, Data Analysis, AWS and Cloud based technologies; performance tuning, scalability and availability in a Big Data environment; and managing multiple projects and delivery using Agile methodologies. Hybrid role, ability to work from home.

In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.
