We are looking Network Administrator to join our team. Working under the guidance of the Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager, you will be a key contributor to the deployment, operational support, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of our critical enterprise architecture.
This role is ideal for a proactive professional who excels at technical problem-solving and thrives in an environment that bridges the gap between complex network infrastructure and daily operational needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Support: Support enterprise initiatives including SD-WAN deployment, PKI lifecycle management, and secure authentication services.
Operations & Troubleshooting: Monitor, identify, and remediate issues with enterprise network and identity services; act as the primary support resource for network and authentication technical issues.
Deployment: Perform network installations, upgrades, and configurations.
Device Management: Support connectivity and secure access on Windows-based systems and mobile devices (e.g., Apple).
Documentation: Create, maintain, and improve comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams and design specifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with Network, Security, and Server Hosting teams to ensure technical solutions align with security standards and project goals.
Project Reporting: Regularly update the Project Manager on progress, tasks, and deliverables.
Technical Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to explain technical details to both IT and non-IT staff at all organizational levels.
Operational Readiness: Ability to support via phone, desk-side, and email.
Flexibility: Must be willing to perform frequent site visits to remote office locations throughout South Carolina. Travel days may occasionally extend beyond normal business hours.
Compliance: Commitment to adhering to State and Agency security/IT policies. Must be willing to sign confidentiality/Business Associate agreements and complete mandatory training (e.g., HIPAA).
Reliability: Must be available onsite at DPH as required, with remote work subject to prior Agency approval.
Proven experience in managing network/identity infrastructure life cycles.
Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues in a multi-platform environment.
A "team-first" attitude with the ability to form productive relationships across diverse groups.
