Position: Data Insights Analys (Remote,Entry-Level)

Role Description This part-time, remote Data Insights Analyst (Entry-Level) role at Fundación Científica de la Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer focuses on supporting data-driven decision-making across research and program initiatives. The analyst will collect, clean, and organize data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency for analysis and reporting. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing basic data analytics, preparing summary statistics, and contributing to data models that help identify trends and insights.

The role also involves preparing clear visualizations and written summaries for internal stakeholders, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to interpret findings, and documenting analytical processes for transparency and reproducibility. The position is designed for early-career professionals interested in applying quantitative skills to support impactful cancer research and public health projects.

Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret quantitative information and identify patterns and trends.
  • Foundational knowledge of data analytics and data modeling, with experience using tools such as Excel, SQL, R, or Python.
  • Basic understanding of statistics, including descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, and data sampling concepts.
  • Effective communication skills to present data insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences in written and verbal formats.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote, part-time environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related discipline.
  • Interest in health, biomedical research, or social impact organizations, especially in the context of cancer research and prevention.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar) and version control or collaborative platforms is a plus.
