Business Systems Analyst; Mulesoft SME

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a talent Business Systems Analyst to join their Mule Soft Integration team
. You will be part of the IT Services department supporting enterprise-level API integration projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem‑solving, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Business Systems Analyst (Mulesoft SME)

Location: Raleigh, NC - onsite 2 days a week

Pay Range: $50 - $60/hr W2 (depending on experience level)

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship or C2C

• Analyze and document requirements related to middleware integrations and API management software, with a focus on Mule Soft or similar technologies.
• Support the product team by gathering business requirements, conducting competitive analysis, and assisting with product design.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions, including data mapping, system diagrams, and validation of integration approaches.
• Investigate backend systems such as mainframes to troubleshoot and verify data through tools like SOAP UI.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business objectives and technical standards.

• 5+ years of IT Business Systems Analysis experience, especially in API integration between applications.
• Experience documenting requirements for middleware integrations and API management, with Mule Soft preferred or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, Web Services, and data mapping techniques.
• Ability to investigate backend systems and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to interact across technical and business teams.
