Network Systems Administrator; TS​/SCI

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, administration, and monitoring of IT automation equipment, including baseline imaging, performance optimization, patching, and updating
• Assist with the integration of military communications systems into the SOF operational architecture
• Provide research, analysis, and design recommendations on tools and services that enhance the implementation and sustainment of SOF communication systems
• Identify solutions for SOF communications operations support in austere operating environments
• Provide support to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve communications hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective or end‑of‑life components when necessary
• Utilize software and hardware tools to diagnose and identify complex problems and factors affecting SOF communications system performance
• Provide support to systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for computer systems
• Maintain file servers and network access, and document, analyze, and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance
• Coordinate with software systems engineering or application developers as necessary to correct errors
• Maintain operating records such as machine performance and production reports
• Install operating system software, patches, and upgrades
• Configure, optimize, and monitor operating system software and hardware
• Perform system backups and recovery

Up to 50% remote work may be authorized; candidates must reside within 50 driving miles of NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field (WOLF).

One of the following education/experience combinations:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field + 3 years of Network Systems Administration or Engineering experience
• Associate's degree + 7 years of Network Systems Administration or Engineering experience
• High school diploma (or equivalent) + 9 years of Network Systems Administration or Engineering experience
• U.S. Citizenship required; TS/SCI clearance
• Experience translating product requirements into systems solutions that meet technical, schedule, and cost objectives
• Experience with military or SOF communications systems
• Experience supporting geographically dispersed organizations and remote users
• Experience in regulated environments
• Experience with requirements analysis, functional analysis, and trade studies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must currently reside within 50 driving miles of NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field (WOLF)

• Solid understanding of the application of Systems Engineering principles
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and procedures
• Experience supporting SCIF or secure facility network environments
• Familiarity with CSfC and Type One encryption methods
• Hold industry recognized certifications such as MCSE, MCA, VMware or some subset of those certifications

Minimum Salary: $92,500.00

Maximum Salary: $96,500.00
