Job Summary

We are hiring a Net App Azure Cloud Solutions Architect (CSA) for the Manufacturing sector with a focus on automotive. The role is based in the United States and is a pre‑sales technical position. The candidate will identify workloads, design and architect solutions, run proofs‑of‑concept, and move customers to active consumption of Net App’s Azure‑based products. Collaboration with Microsoft sales and technical teams is essential, and the role requires clear articulation of how our technology enables customer innovation in Azure.

• Strong technical knowledge of cloud concepts and technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure (Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification preferred).
• Passion for solving customer business challenges with cloud technology solutions.
• Personal initiative: work independently to achieve customer success without close supervision.
• Experience working with customers within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects concurrently.
• Adaptation to changing requirements and technology.
• Run proofs‑of‑concept for software, hardware or cloud‑based solutions in a pre‑sale role.
• Knowledge of Net App ONTAP and how application workloads—such as SAP, Oracle, SQL, VMware, HPC, virtual desktops, and others—use NAS storage in a cloud environment.
• Familiarity with container orchestration runtime concepts (preferably Kubernetes).
• On‑premises infrastructure and workload experience and data migration methodologies (optional).
• Willingness to travel within the assigned geography to customer locations and occasionally further.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong English language skills (other languages a plus).

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of related field experience.
• Net App ONTAP experience is a plus.
• Microsoft Azure Cloud certifications are a plus, most importantly:
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator
  • Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
  • Azure Network Engineer

• Qualify customer opportunities and requirements, and assess solution fit for Net App’s Azure offerings.
• Design solutions that may include one or more software, cloud, and professional services, and run technical workshops to demonstrate them.
• Present solution selling at customer and partner briefings, Microsoft and Net App sales meetings, corporate events, etc.
• Design and run proofs‑of‑concept to illustrate solution fit within the customer’s environment.
• Handover customer wins to Professional Services and/or Customer Success.
• Participate in and host industry meetups and user groups.
• Publish reference architectures, significant wins, and best practices, both internally and externally.
• Maintain a broader view of the industry through continuous learning and a growth mindset.
• Maintain customer opportunity status in Salesforce.
• Allocate self‑study/learning time to:
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in public cloud services.
  • Acquire and maintain technical expertise.
  • Develop or enhance processes and techniques utilized by our Sales and Technical teams.

The target salary range is USD. Final compensation is determined by location, qualifications, experience, and education, and may exceed the stated range. On Target Earnings (OTE) include base salary and potential commission when performance targets are achieved. Compensation packages are competitive and include a comprehensive benefits package such as health insurance, life insurance, retirement or pension plans, paid time off, leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and restricted stock units.
