Information Technology Generalist Administrator

The Position

As an Information Technology Generalist 1 with the Revenue Lottery Insurance and Banking and Securities Division, you will provide advanced IT services and support to several essential PA Lottery functions. This senior technical administrator role encourages learning, teamwork, and problem solving in a fast‑paced environment, helping keep vital systems strong and dependable.

This position provides advanced technical support for essential Lottery systems that keep operations running safely and efficiently.

• System Support:
  Provide technical assistance for multiple Lottery systems and environments.
• Server Management:
  Configure, optimize, and maintain application servers across several platforms.
• Incident Response:
  Handle system incidents by assessing issues, coordinating with teams, and guiding resolution efforts.
• Vendor Coordination:
  Collaborate with vendors and internal IT groups to maintain smooth system operations.
• Network Functions:
  Assist with firewall assessments, connectivity testing, and troubleshooting.
• Testing
  
  Activities:
  
  Support user acceptance testing and guide others in developing effective test plans.

• Full‑time employment.
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch. Occasional after‑hours and off‑hours support may be required.
• Telework:
  Part‑time work from home may be permitted. Reports are required in‑office on Tuesday and Wednesday. Telework is subject to change at any time.
• Salary:
  The starting salary may be non‑negotiable in some cases.

• One year as an Information Technology Generalist 2, Applications Developer 2, Database Analyst, Information Security Specialist 1, or Network Specialist 2 (or equivalent).
• Five years of IT experience, including two years in technical IT roles covering applications development or maintenance, network operation or maintenance, web development or design, database maintenance or development, data analysis, or IT security administration.
• Three years of IT experience, including two years in a technical IT role and an associate’s degree in any IT field.
• One year of IT experience in a technical IT role and a bachelor’s degree in any IT field.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

• You must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• This position will have access to Federal Tax Information and is subject to IRS Publication 1075, requiring an enhanced background check before employment.
