Job Description
This position supports the development, hardening, deployment and ongoing maintenance of tools that enable military wargamers to simulate nuclear, chemical and biological events in wargame scenarios and training. Based out of Raleigh, NC, this position is part of a multi-disciplinary collaborative team of software, cloud, and security engineers delivering the next generation of cloud and web enabled wargaming software. As a valued team contributor, your tasks will include developing and maintaining Git Lab CI/CD pipelines, working with developers to containerize both new and existing code, deploying to on-premises and cloud-based Kubernetes clusters, managing releases of the application to our customer environments, and implementing Terraform code to deploy security compliant cloud infrastructure where the mission application will be deployed to a production environment.

This role is also involved in completing cybersecurity requirements of the production system in terms of achieving and maintaining an Authority to Operate (ATO) from our customer. This is a hybrid position with expectation of 3 days in-office based in Raleigh, NC. The Dev Sec Ops  Engineer supports the development, hardening, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of the cloud- and web-enabled wargaming software.

Day to day, this person builds and maintains the automated “pipelines” that ship code, packages applications into containers, deploys them to Kubernetes clusters (both on-premises and in the cloud), manages releases into the customer’s environments, writes Terraform code to stand up secure cloud infrastructure, and supports the cybersecurity work needed to achieve and maintain the ATO. They sit on a small, collaborative team of software, cloud, and security engineers.

Skills & Qualifications
1 year of Security patching and remediation experience. You will be working closely with a collaborative team so your team player personality and excellent written/oral communication skills will be essential. This role is also involved in completing cybersecurity requirements of the production system in terms of achieving and maintaining an Authority to Operate (ATO). Education:

Bachelor’s in Computer Science (or related) + 8–10 years experience, OR Master’s + 6–8 years. A master’s reduces the experience requirement; strong military experience may offset a missing degree.
