Overview
We are seeking detail-oriented Claims Administrators to join our Stop Loss & Health Claims Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for manually entering claim data into designated templates with a high degree of accuracy. This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Kansas City, MO office. Team members will be required to attend the office two consecutive days per month.
Your in-office schedule will be provided at least two weeks in advance.
Pay Rate: $20/ Hour. Core Shift: Mon to Fri 8 AM to 5 PM. Overtime:
Required during peak periods. Approximately 10 hours/week of overtime is expected. Overtime may be scheduled outside core hours, including weekends. Initial need is for 8 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment based on business needs.
- Process approximately 20 claim submissions per day with a high level of accuracy.
- Manually enter data from reports into designated templates.
- Adhere to strict quality expectations — performance is subject to regular QA audits.
- Identify and elevate data discrepancies or processing issues to the appropriate team members.
- Follow established data intake processes and policies.
- Preferred:
Prior experience in claims processing and/or medical coding. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate internal claims systems.
- Ability to understand processes and appropriately elevate issues.
- Minimum 1 year of experience.
- High School education required.
Pay offered will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.
