About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in data center operations and systems administration. This hybrid role combines hands-on hardware deployment with Linux and Windows server administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both physical infrastructure and systems engineering.
Engineers will primarily support a single Northern New Jersey data center, with home office assignments based on proximity to the assigned location. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel to the assigned facility.
Responsibilities- Install, rack, stack, cable, and maintain enterprise servers, storage, and networking equipment within a production data center.
- Build, configure, and support Linux and Windows Server environments while assisting with ongoing systems administration.
- Troubleshoot hardware, server, network connectivity, and fiber infrastructure issues to ensure maximum uptime.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, asset inventory, and collaborate with network, security, and application teams on new deployments.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, hardware lifecycle management, and an on-call rotation supporting critical production systems.
- 4-7 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or enterprise data center operations.
- Hands‑on experience with server installation, rack and stack, cabling, and production data center environments.
- Strong experience administering Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise hardware management tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced technical environment.
