Release Management Process Analyst

Overview

Responsible for managing and coordinating application releases, infrastructure maintenance, and deployment activities across non‑production and production environments. Oversees end‑to‑end release processes including planning, scheduling, risk mitigation, dependency management, implementation, and backout strategies to ensure stable and compliant deployments.

Collaborates cross‑functionally with Development, Dev Ops, QA, Operations, Architecture, and business teams to support CI/CD initiatives, deployment automation, and enterprise change management standards.

• Develop, analyze, and manage application deployment and infrastructure maintenance plans.
• Identify dependencies, mitigate risks, and schedule conflicts.
• Supervise progress to implementation, design backout strategies.
• Coordinate applications and infrastructure changes to pre‑ and production environments using deployment automation tools.
• Secure application checkout resources and facilitate checkouts in controlled environments.
• Monitor and police environment changes to ensure stability and quality.
• Ensure compliance with Enterprise Change Management guidelines and provide guidance to IT Delivery Teams.
• Plan, communicate, and coordinate database refresh activities for controlled environments.
• Create and maintain process documentation, workflows, knowledge articles, and self‑service guidance for IT Services.
• Coordinate automated and manual deployment of applications using Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, Datadog, and Rundeck.
• Process builds in Git Hub and triage and resolve build issues.
• Work with software developers, production managers, testers, vendors, and others throughout the production process.
• Partner with developers and Dev Ops to improve automation for application deployment.
• Manage build, release, CI, and CD processes for software product releases.
• Support and improve company tools for CI/CD.
• Work closely with Operations and Development to identify application candidates for automation.
• Define and implement best practices for build and deployment with the development, Dev Ops, and architecture teams.
• Advise on Dev Ops and related best practices for development partners.
• Create install plans for applications and coordinate walkthroughs to identify steps, timing, and dependencies.
• Lead and coordinate go‑live activities, scheduling, release plan execution, and post‑release monitoring.
• Ensure change records are audited for correctness, approvals, backout steps, and compliance with change management requirements.
• Triage build and deployment issues as needed.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation for one week a month and provide after‑hour support.
• Work location is hybrid; work from HQ as requested by leadership, with ability to work from home.

• 2+ years of professional experience or a Bachelor's degree, or minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient with Git Hub (Repo, Actions & Copilot) and Version Control.
• Experience with Dev Ops CI/CD tools such as Git Hub and Rundeck.
• Experience with Redhat Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with Ivanti, Atlassian JIRA and Confluence, Datadog.
• Experience with Web Logic, Docker, Azure Cloud application/service deployment.
• Strategic thinking and ability to support development of vision and strategy for ISTM and related processes.
• Proven collaboration, relationship building, and influence skills to coordinate roles and responsibilities.
• Ability to manage both technology and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC), both traditional and agile.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies and issue resolution skills.
• Relationship management experience with both infrastructure and development teams.
• Strong written communication skills for presenting information, findings, and remediation plans.

Pay Grade 21. $80,500 – $174,300. Base pay range is an estimate; actual pay may vary based on experience, education, certifications, and other factors.
