  • Drive cost optimization, modernization, and consolidation across legacy and cloud data estates using Fin Ops and open data architecture principles.
  • Promote Dev Ops best practices, including infrastructure as code, automated schema migrations, CI/CD integration, and feature-flag-gated releases.
  • Mentor engineers and DBAs on scalable, cost-aware, compliance-ready data architecture.
Technical Environment
  • Cloud: AWS commercial, AWS Gov Cloud, future IL5/IL6 air-gapped environments
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server

  • AI data infrastructure: pgvector, Open Search, vector search, embeddings, RAG, inference telemetry
  • Infrastructure and release: Terraform, Pulumi, Git Lab/Git Hub pipelines, Open Feature, automated schema migrations
  • Observability: Grafana
  • Data: High-volume, regulated datasets, including CUI and federal supply chain intelligence
What You Need

  • Deep expertise in cloud database design, performance tuning, scaling, capacity planning, cost planning, backup, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity, encryption, access control, and audit requirements for data platforms.
