Your mission:
You will significantly drive the growth of our Geospatial Data & Analytics as well as Data & AI business in Germany. From strategic customer engagement to contract signing, you will be responsible for complex sales processes in the environment of Geoinformation System platforms (GIS), Geospatial Data & Analytics, and modern Data & AI solutions. You will position holistic Geospatial Data & Analytics solutions that integrate spatial data, optimize business-critical processes, and create sustainable competitive advantages.

Together with interdisciplinary teams, you will establish our portfolio as a strategic differentiator for our customers, expand our market presence strategically, and unlock new business opportunities and sustainable growth.

Your tasks:

  • End-to-end positioning of GIS solutions
  • Positioning holistic GIS platform solutions along the entire value chain – from conception and architecture through implementation to stable operation (application management) in complex IT landscapes. You will use proven enterprise GIS platforms, particularly Esri ArcGIS, and additionally open-source-based architectures as needed.
  • Value-based selling of geo intelligence in combination with data & AI
  • Industry-wide positioning of geospatial data & analytics solutions and development of differentiating use cases based on spatial data – from optimized infrastructure, logistics, and location decisions to data-driven business models. You will have the opportunity to combine geospatial intelligence solutions with modern data & AI capabilities (such as modern data platforms, advanced analytics, or AI/ML) to successfully place customer-relevant, value-adding, and innovative solutions in the market.
  • Active development of new and existing customers
  • Identification, qualification, and closing of opportunities (up to approximately 10 million euros) with a focus on sustainable growth, profitability, and high customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic consulting at CxO level
  • Building and maintaining robust customer relationships as well as positioning yourself as a trusted partner at management and decision-making levels.
  • Market & business development
  • Planning and conducting targeted outbound activities, events, and campaigns (e.g., partner events, trade shows) to generate new leads and strengthen market presence.
  • Cross-functional cooperation
  • Close cooperation with sales executives, business development, solution architects, delivery teams, and partners to develop feasible and robust solutions and roadmaps for customers, and to ensure the expansion of our strategic partnerships in the geospatial data & analytics environment. Together with the portfolio and delivery managers as well as our partners, you will develop new value propositions and actively bring them to market.

Your profile:

  • Completed studies (e.g., business, technology, computer science) or comparable qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant sales experience in the area of complex, explanatory IT/technology solutions with a focus on industry-wide geospatial data & analytics solutions
  • Proven success in building customer relationships and closing larger deals in the environment of GIS platforms and geospatial data & analytics solutions, ideally in the Esri-ArcGIS ecosystem
  • Sound market and industry knowledge as well as a robust network
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills at decision-making levels
  • High initiative, entrepreneurial thinking, and pronounced closing strength
  • Very good German and English language skills as well as willingness to travel
