The Technology Specialist supports AARP Foundation Volunteer Programs by managing technology assets, systems, and business processes that enable effective program delivery nationwide. This role oversees the lifecycle of hardware and software resources, administers platforms including Google Workspace, Service Now, Salesforce, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and analyzes data to improve operations and decision-making. Working with community program partners, volunteers, IT, security teams, and vendors, the Technology Specialist drives process improvements, manages technology inventory and device refresh initiatives, develops operational documentation and reporting, and provides technical support to ensure volunteers have reliable access to the tools and resources needed to successfully serve clients and communities.

Responsibilities

* Uses and analyzes data to recommend program and process improvements and to measure outcomes.

* Assists with management and provides oversight of business operations for organization programs including financial, IT, systems development and implementation, business processes and compliance, and data reporting systems and procedures.

* Collaborates with program management to support and maintain stakeholder relationships including volunteers, participants, and partners.

* Performs project and process management activities as needed.

* Prepares reports, documentation, surveys, and trend analyses for internal stakeholders of data associated within the scope of position.

* Keeps internal stakeholders apprised of upcoming milestones and facilitates modifications as necessary.

* Performs data entry, reconciliations, and quality control to ensure the integrity and accuracy of all data within the scope of position.

Qualifications

* 3+ years of hands-on experience utilizing Service Now, Salesforce (Case Management, Knowledge, and Marketing Cloud), Google Workspace/Admin Console, and Microsoft Office products to support enterprise technology operations.

* Proven experience managing large-scale device inventories of 5,000+ assets, with preferred experience overseeing environments exceeding 10,000 devices.

* Demonstrated success coordinating enterprise technology projects, including stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, user acceptance testing (UAT), implementation planning, and project status reporting.

* Strong knowledge of hardware lifecycle management, including asset procurement, deployment, maintenance, refresh, and retirement processes.

* Extensive experience managing Chromebook environments, including device policies, administration, and Auto Update Expiration (AUE) planning.

* Skilled in monitoring device performance metrics, including battery health analysis, reporting, and proactive remediation strategies.

* Ability to analyze operational data and develop actionable reports, while creating clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), user guides, and knowledge base documentation.

Preferred:

* Service Now Administrator, Google Workspace Administrator, or PMP certification.

Hybrid Work Environment

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
