Job Title – Application Penetration Tester (Senior – Principal)
Shorebreak Security, Inc. seeks experienced penetration testers to work with our clients across web, mobile, and other application environments. The role offers remote flexibility with the option to work from our Cocoa Beach, FL office.
Job DescriptionLead and conduct application penetration tests, translating findings into clear, actionable reports for clients. Deliver results both verbally and in written form, ensuring the client’s security posture is understood and improved.
Responsibilities- Conduct web application, mobile application, database, wireless, and network penetration tests.
- Validate and exploit findings to demonstrate risk.
- Communicate vulnerability details and risk to customers verbally and in writing.
- Work independently with a “hacker” mentality, applying methodology without relying solely on vulnerability scanners or exploit frameworks.
- Prepare and present testing reports to clients, highlighting remediation steps.
- Participate in onsite or remote engagements as required.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- 3+ years of client‑facing web application penetration testing (not in a home lab or for personal apps).
- 2+ years of mobile application testing (iOS and Android).
- Excellent social, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Strong technical skill set, including familiarity with common security tools (nmap, Nessus, Metasploit, Burp Suite, ZAP, CAIN, Kali Linux, etc.).
- Pass a verbal technical interview and a practical, hands‑on skills test.
- Pass a practical, monitored hacking test conducted via screen sharing.
- Pass background and technical interviews.
- Pass a practical hands‑on test.

- Demonstrated passion for technology and information security.
- Strong technical skills (e.g., understanding of web, mobile, and operating system technologies).
- Strong technical skills and understanding of networking and operating systems.

- Methodology for conducting thorough application assessment.
