Job Description & How to Apply Below
Ascendco is seeking a Platform Specialist to be fully embedded at Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH). In this role, you ll serve as a dedicated Ascendco representative, driving the successful implementation, adoption, standardization, and sustainment of the Ascendco platform across every JHH facility. This role is central to our mission of enabling high-performing surgical teams and improving patient outcomes through data-driven tools and insights — acting as both a strategic partner and execution leader guiding the client through data transformation and system optimization.
WhatYou ll Do
- Lead implementation and sustainment of the Ascendco platform across JHH s facilities, including go-live readiness, milestones, and performance reporting
- Own platform administration: data quality management and remediation, inventory and PAR optimization, and standardized system configuration across entities
- Administer user accounts and role-based access
- Identify, triage, and manage escalation of platform issues; coordinate between JHH IT and Ascendco to expedite resolution
- Analyze usage trends, validate dashboards and reports, and collaborate with JHH stakeholders to turn data into improvement plans
- Deliver user training, support frontline adoption, and reinforce best practices across all entities
- Lead regular leadership meetings to align priorities, communicate platform enhancements, and plan rollout of new functionality
- Drive workflow standardization, expand quality documentation, and increase utilization of the Education Module
- Serve as the primary liaison between JHH and Ascendco — escalating feedback to product and engineering teams and advocating for client enhancements
- 3–5 years of experience in Sterile Processing (SPD) or Surgical Services — this background is highly valued for success in the role
- Proven experience in project management, implementation, or technical support within surgical services
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a track record of driving results in clinical or surgical environments
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities to engage and inspire both clients and teammates
- A detail-oriented, results-driven mindset, thriving in dynamic, high-pressure scenarios
- (Optional) Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
- Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with occasional flexibility for evening/weekends)
- Combination of onsite and remote work depending on project needs
- Some travel between JHH entities may be required depending on facility footprint
- Workspace provided onsite, with access to required departments, scrubs, and clinical attire in line with infection-prevention policies
- Full-time Ascendco employee with two (2) weeks PTO annually (per Ascendco HR policies)
- PTO requests require approval from both Ascendco and JHH leadership
- Full compliance with Ascendco workforce policies (confidentiality, conduct, timekeeping)
- Recognized as an Ascendco partner, not a JHH employee
