Systems Administrator, IT Infrastructure, Network Engineer
As an IT Datacenter Engineer, you will own the physical and logical infrastructure of our datacenter, ensuring global operations run reliably, securely, and efficiently. This practitioner role requires deep hardware, networking, and environmental expertise and is focused on hands‑on execution rather than desk‑bound work.
Responsibilities- Deploy, configure, and service servers, storage arrays, and edge computing devices (NUCs, Mac Minis, Raspberry Pi) across rack environments.
- Manage rack builds, structured cabling, hardware replacements, and initial OS/firmware setup for newly provisioned devices.
- Install and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, KVMs, and out‑of‑band management systems.
- Handle structured cabling (fiber and copper termination), documentation, and coordinate cross‑team network projects.
- Monitor DCIM dashboards, respond to alerts, troubleshoot outages, perform root cause analysis, and drive post‑incident reviews.
- Maintain on‑call availability for critical datacenter incidents.
- Oversee HVAC, cooling, UPS, PDUs, and generator systems to meet uptime SLAs and PUE targets.
- Coordinate with facility teams on environmental and power issues and monitor power density and environmental thresholds.
- Execute firmware updates, OS patching, and hardware replacements following change control procedures.
- Maintain change logs, post‑change validation documentation, and coordinate maintenance windows.
- Enforce physical access controls, maintain audit logs, and manage visitor escorting procedures.
- Support SOC 2 and IRAP compliance audits, collect evidence, track remediation, and participate in physical security reviews.
- Track power density, floor space, and bandwidth utilization; recommend and implement expansion plans.
- Maintain accurate asset inventories, network diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, incident records, and contribute to a shared knowledge base.
- 3 to 5 years of hands‑on datacenter operations experience in TierII‑IV environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Server hardware expertise with Dell and Supermicro (racking, cabling, ILO/IDRAC, BIOS/UEFI) and edge devices (NUCs, Raspberry Pi, Mac Mini).
- Networking knowledge including firewalls, switching, KVM‑over‑IP, out‑of‑band management, TCP/IP, and enterprise fundamentals.
- OS administration experience with Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server.
- Basic scripting in Python, Bash, or Power Shell; VMware vSphere experience is a plus.
- CCNA or CCNP certification;
CompTIA Server+ is a plus. - Willingness to work outside standard business hours for maintenance windows and incident response.
- Physical ability to lift 50lbs and work comfortably in a raised‑floor datacenter environment.
- Must reside within 1 hour of the Hillsboro, OR datacenter to ensure rapid on‑site response.

Base Salary Range: $84,000—$116,000 USD (variable by location).
