CompensationTarget salary: $119,000 - $140,000.
Job SummaryThe IT Product Manager at Purple Mattress will shape and deliver technology solutions that align with the company's business objectives. This role bridges the gap between technology and business needs by collaborating with business partners to define, plan, and execute IT projects with cross‑functional teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Product Strategy: develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with Purple Mattress’s goals.
- Requirements Gathering: collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize technology requirements.
- Product
Roadmap:
create and maintain a roadmap outlining IT solution delivery. - Project Management: lead cross‑functional teams in planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery.
- Vendor Management: evaluate and manage technology vendor relationships.
- Risk Management:
identify and mitigate risks associated with IT projects. - Quality Assurance: collaborate with QA teams to ensure reliability, security, and performance.
- User
Experience:
advocate for a seamless user experience for internal and external users. - Change Management: manage change associated with implementations to ensure adoption.
- Documentation: maintain comprehensive documentation, including product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Master’s degree or certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CSPO is a plus.
- 5+ years of IT product management experience with a track record of delivering solutions.
- Strong project management skills and familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of software development and IT infrastructure best practices.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable business terms.
- Strong problem‑solving and strategic mindset.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is advantageous.
Occasional physical activities include remaining stationary, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods; moving objects up to 15lb; communicating with others; repetitive motions of wrists, hands, fingers; assessing accuracy and thoroughness of work. Environmental conditions may include a noisy open office environment.
