Secure Data Pipeline Data Engineer
Location and Work Arrangement:
This role requires associates to be in‑office 1–2 days per week, with flexibility for remote work. Alternate locations may be considered for candidates within a reasonable commuting distance. Please note that this position is not eligible for current or future VISA sponsorship.
- Ensure data pipelines comply with security policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, NIST, SOC2).
- Develop testing plans to validate deployment, data quality, reconciliation, and repeatable testing of data pipeline changes.
- Perform complex configuration changes to meet business and information security requirements, including Microsoft Fabric work spaces, data pipelines, connections, service principals, secrets, and environment‑specific settings.
- Resolve complex technical problems and lead implementations for data pipelines, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Dev Ops , REST API, and source‑system integration issues.
- Provide technical support for risk assessments and the implementation of information security procedures, standards, and technologies.
- Represent major upgrades and reconfigurations in change control; design and analyze vendor and platform services that meet business and security requirements, coordinating promoted governance across development, test, and production environments.
- Support system, data platform, and security architecture for information security technologies and data pipeline capabilities.
- Represent infrastructure security support in significant projects and perform complex operations and administration tasks.
- Respond to level3 &4 change and problem requests autonomously; lead level1 &2 incident recoveries and root cause analysis.
- Coordinate and report data security events and incidents.
- Perform capacity analysis and recommend/implement capacity increases for data platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Serve as technical escalation for preventative maintenance routines, supervise preventative maintenance, and lead initiatives to consolidate equipment or relocate business operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge necessary to perform the work.
- At least 3years of experience in a support & operations or design & engineering role in one of the following areas: access management or network security technologies, servers, networks, network communications, telecommunications, operating systems, middleware, disaster recovery, collaboration technologies, hardware/software support, or other infrastructure services.
- Experience providing top‑tier support for at least 3 of the following information security technology areas:
- Access Control
- Application Security
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning
- Cryptography
- Information Security and Risk Management
- Legal, Regulations
- Compliance and Investigations
- Operations Security
- Physical (Environmental) Security
- Security Architecture and Design
- Telecommunications and Network Security
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Apache Spark, or similar data platforms.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Technical security certifications (e.g., Systems Security Certified Practitioner) preferred.
