We are dedicated to supporting the Air Force's commitment to technological superiority by providing innovative software engineering services that enhance operational efficiency, security, and agility.

We’re looking for well‑rounded engineers to join our growing team of Dev Sec Ops  and Cloud Infrastructure practitioners supporting the U.S. Air Force Unified Platform Software Factory. Based in San Antonio, the Unified Platform consists of a diverse group of industry experts that leverage agile methodologies and state‑of‑the‑art Dev Sec Ops  practices to deliver rapid, impactful solutions to the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Cyber Command.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud‑native platforms and infrastructure.

In this position, you can expect to:
  • Design and implement cloud‑native architectures on AWS
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation, or AWS CDK.
  • Build and optimize Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS, including networking, storage, and security configurations.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab
  • Design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS Cloud Watch.
  • Develop and maintain Helm charts for application deployments on Kubernetes.
  • Implement security best practices and compliance measures across the platform.
  • Automate operational tasks and create self‑service tools for development teams.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve application deployment processes and platform usability.
  • Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance the platform's capabilities.
  • Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with DoD standards such as NIST SP 800‑53, DISA STIGs, and the DoD Enterprise Dev Sec Ops  Reference Design
  • Maintain and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud‑based resources
  • Integrate Dev Sec Ops  tools and services to enable automated pipelines that support customer applications throughout their SDLC.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams and contribute to the development of Dev Sec Ops  strategies and roadmaps.

As with any technical environment, the exact role responsibilities will evolve with the changing needs of our client. We are looking for versatile engineers who thrive on new challenges and can readily adapt to additional responsibilities beyond those listed above.

Preferred

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Strong experience with AWS services and architecture best practices.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.
  • Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS.
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and implementation in cloud environments.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
  • Familiarity with Git Ops principles and tools like ArgoCD or Flux.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Dev Ops Engineer) are a plus.
  • Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio) is beneficial.
  • Desire to work in a ‘badgeless’ collaborative team environment consisting of Government clients, other contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Strong desire to work in team environment and learn new skills.
  • Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or technical degree or industry experience equivalent.
